Arazians
Near-immortal people of Araze — imperial, formidable, and yet bound in their depths to all worthy life.
The Arazians, recorded as Azariens in certain old Terran archives, form the living empire of Araze. They live very long lives — often beyond a millennium — and command a physical strength far greater than any human’s.
Their civilization weaves together nobility, violence, long memory and a sacred regard for worthy life. They honour worlds still rooted in nature, which explains their respect for Éclaira and its people, even when they judge the Eclairians less advanced in their technology.
They are, however, at open war with the Cyborgs, whom they hold to be a cold mechanical menace — industrial, and made to destroy. The Terrans, for their part, are seen as weak, divided, noisy and tiresome. Certain Arazian factions press for a conquest of Earth in 2046, with the risk of partial or total erasure of humanity should resistance drag on.

Government
The empire is ruled by House Vael’Oran, whose reigning sovereign is Tsomakar Vael’Oran. His son Augustin, the rightful heir, has nonetheless lived on Earth for centuries — and cannot return too soon without risking his life.
