Makar is a planet without a people: no civilization has ever raised the smallest city there. It is almost entirely covered by a great jungle and a great desert, two biomes sheltering a fauna of extraordinary richness — precisely 500,000,000,000 animals have been counted there.

The jungle

The great jungle of Makar A dense, misty jungle covers a broad share of the planet, refuge of species no Arazian, Cyborg or Eclairian eye has ever catalogued.

The desert

The great desert of Makar At the other extreme, a vast desert of ochre dunes hosts a fauna fitted to extreme heat — from mineral creatures to predators of lava.
