Nebulor

The gas giant: no ground anywhere, storms as wide as continents, and an aerial fauna born and dying without ever touching anything solid.

Orbital view of Nebulor

Nebulor has no surface. It is a gas giant: descending, one crosses cloud layers ever thicker and hotter, and never touches anything. The planet is a hundred times larger than Araze.

The continent storms

A storm as wide as a continent in the clouds of Nebulor The storms of Nebulor are wider than continents and last for centuries. Each bears a name in the Arazian registers; the oldest, Shadow-Twelve, has been turning since the Empire began keeping archives. Seen from above they trace orange and grey spirals that cross without ever mixing.

The people of the air

Aerial jellyfish creatures floating in the clouds of Nebulor There is life in the clouds of Nebulor. Translucent jellyfish-shaped creatures, the vaals, float between the layers by filling themselves with light gas. The largest reach a kilometre across. They never land, never fight, and no one knows how they feed.
