The House Oravaya is one of the most ancient dynasties to have reigned over Araze — long before the Coel’Aram, long before the Vocom’Oram, and thousands of years before House Vael’Oran. It belongs to a world the Codex now describes only in negative: the machines did not exist, and the war against the Cyborgs had no reason to be.

It is the only dynasty whose name is still spoken every day on Araze, without most Arazians knowing why: the imperial capital, Oravaya Prime, carries the name of that house.

Its most famous king

Its 56th king, Tsomanotor Oravaya, is held by the archivists to be the most famous of all the kings of Araze — the one who gave back the peace, wrote the great laws, founded three cities and had the first arazium blade forged.

His brother Oromo Oravaya is the only other member of the house whose name reached posterity, and for another reason: he killed the king, did not reign, and ended in prison.

What remains of it

The dynasty’s complete registers did not cross the ages: the Codex holds neither the list of its kings nor the date of its fall. All that survives are the cities it built, the laws it wrote, and a tomb of arazium, gold and diamond in the imperial cemetery of Atem 9.

Hundreds of other dynasties came before and after the Oravaya in the thousand-year history of Araze — their archives are still to be unearthed.
