Character
Yorokama Eyroshika
Tyamyoshaya of the Éclairiens — the chief who speaks for every clan of Éclaira, keeper of the sung memory.

Yorokama Eyroshika is the tyamyoshaya of the Éclairiens — their word for chief. He is neither king nor general: he is the one the clans of Éclaira have agreed to listen to, and it can be taken back from him.
He lives in Moryakana Eyroshika, the great sunflower village whose name his family carries.
A chief without a throne
Éclaira has no palace, no crown, no army. The tyamyoshaya therefore has nothing to give and nothing to confiscate: his authority rests entirely on the elders of each clan still coming to sit when he calls them.
He never decides alone. He listens to the clans one by one, then says aloud what all of them have come to think — and that sentence becomes the decision. Arazians, used to orders, take a long time to understand that this is not weakness.
Keeper of the sung memory
The Éclairiens do not write their history: they sing it. The tyamyoshaya is the last reciter of the complete line — the songs of the earth, those of the seasons, and the long mourning songs given only once in a generation.
He knows one that nobody has heard. He says he will sing it on the day it is needed, and refuses to explain which of those days he is waiting for.
Facing the Cyborgs
Yorokama knows what the schmil has done to the villages that let the disguised merchants in. It was he who established the rule now kept across the plains: you offer the traveller a drink, you do not drink what he brings.
He has never asked the Arazians for weapons. He asked them for names — those of the Cyborgs who can take a human face. The court of Oravaya Prime has not yet answered.
What he says of the sun
The sun does not ask permission to come back. Neither do we.
What the archives do not say
The Codex does not know how old Yorokama Eyroshika is. The Éclairiens do not count a man’s years, they count the bloomings he has seen — and when asked, the question makes them laugh.
